Between 1–4 May 2025, TOURAL participated in the Spring Session of the International Carpathian School, organized within the framework of the project “Transition to Ecotourism in Protected Areas through Heritage Interpretation” and supported by the Visegrad Fund, in Yaremche, Ivano-Frankivsk region, Ukraine.
TOURAL partners from The National Ecological Centre of Ukraine (NECU) actively contributed to the event through a series of presentations:
- Diana Krysinska, Project Manager – Sustainable Tourism Development in the Kutsurub Community within the Framework of the TOURAL Project. Diana introduced participants to the project’s objectives and shared its interim results.
- Veronika Popova, Technical Communications Manager – The Youth Component of the International Carpathian School. Her presentation highlighted the role of youth in the projects of the National Ecological Centre of Ukraine, with a particular focus on TOURAL.
- Inna Tymchenko, Environmental and Community Engagement Expert – The Educational Component in the Functioning of Community Observatories.
- Viktoria Kiptenko, Sustainable Development Expert – Climate-Friendly Travel: International Networking Opportunities for Businesses, Destinations, and Education for Sustainable Development to Revitalize Tourism in the Carpathian Region on the Basis of Sustainability.
The active participation of TOURAL partners underlined the project’s contribution to sustainable tourism, youth engagement, and community-based education, while also strengthening international dialogue on the future of ecotourism in the Carpathian region.
