The TOURAL project was showcased at the 14th Annual Forum of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region (EUSDR), held from 3–6 November 2025 at Hotel Holiday in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Forum was organized by the Bosnian and Herzegovinian EUSDR Presidency, represented by the Directorate for European Integration of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in close cooperation with the European Commission and the Danube Strategy Point.
The Conference of Peripheral Maritime Regions (CPMR), a TOURAL partner, ensured strong visibility and representation of the project across multiple sessions of the Forum.
1. Presentation at the PA3 Steering Group Meeting – 3 November 2025
TOURAL was presented at the Priority Area 3 (PA3): Culture and Tourism, People-to-People Contacts Steering Group meeting. This session enabled TOURAL to highlight its mission of empowering coastal and maritime communities through sustainable tourism development, focusing on heritage-led and nature-based approaches.
2. Contribution to the PA3 Event “Eco-Culture in Motion: Green Tourism Initiatives as Part of the Sustainable Danube Network” – 6 November 2025
TOURAL’s work and policy contributions were presented during the PA3 event, which promoted sustainable mobility, ecotourism services based on nature-based solutions, blue tourism opportunities, cultural heritage as a driver of the green transition, and local gastronomy as an authentic element of sustainable tourism.
Mr. Stavros Kalognomos presented TOURAL’s policy work and project activities, with particular emphasis on the Adriatic–Ionian and Black Sea regions, showcasing how the project strengthens regional collaboration and supports sustainable tourism ecosystems.
Throughout the Forum, TOURAL flyers were distributed to participants, ensuring broad visibility among institutional and regional stakeholders. A diverse panel of speakers contributed perspectives from Romania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia, Estonia, and Croatia.
The Forum highlighted how essential cross-regional cooperation is for creating and applying innovative approaches to sustainable tourism and cultural heritage valorization.
