The Province of Teramo is a province in the Abruzzo region of Central Italy. Its capital is the city of Teramo, and the province borders the Adriatic Sea. Teramo Province is known for its natural landscapes including sea coasts, hills and green valleys, the highest peaks of Apennines Mountains. The province of Teramo offers a wide range of attractions to visit, including enchanting medieval villages such as Civitella del Tronto, Campli, Atri and Castelli.
It includes some of the historical towns listed in the most beautiful Italian towns. It has a strong and well appreciated cultural heritage as well as remarkable culinary traditions. Tourism is developed mainly in coastal areas, with notable UW cultural heritage assets and adequate tourism infrastructures. Also, there is an increasing niche tourism interested to activities such as trekking, biking, hiking and other experiential/sustainable activities.
